The Court of Guardianship (CoG) is an executing agency of the Ministry of Justice.
The CoG is the central authority for the protection of children and performs the duties of a central reporting agency for child abuse. Anyone can contact the CoG for reporting and asking advice on suspected cases of child abuse.
The agency carries out independent research, advises on legal proceedings and may propose legal measures or sanctions in order to ensure the safety and well-being of a minor.
