In an effort to support growth opportunities for inmates at the Point Blanche Prison and Rehabilitation center, the Minister of Justice, Ms. Anna E. Richardson, is hosting a book drive throughout the month of May, 2021. The book drive is being held as a means to furnish the current prison library and serve as a tool for inmates to read, study, and work on growth possibilities.
Prior to the launch of the book drive, a survey was conducted in order to gain insight on the preferences of the inmates. The results indicated a wide interest of genres in which we hope to be able to fulfill. The genres include and are not limited to: History, Science, Technology, Research, Self-Help, Poetry, Thriller, and Comedy.
The Ministry of Justice is seeking the help and cooperation of our communities in contributing to the development and growth of the inmates at the prison. By donating at least ONE book, you will help to provide opportunities that can change a life.
The drop-off point is the St. Martin University (USM) and books can be dropped off as of today, Tuesday, May 18th, 2021. DONATE TODAY!
